There was more activity than I expected, especially on Sunday.  There was the usual chicadees, junco, both nutnatches, kinglets, blue jays, cardinals, etc.

The female great horned owl was sitting on her nest with the male in the next tree.  A flock of crows came in and the male owl made his presence know with his 'Hoot-Hoots'.  Also saw a pair of northern flickr that were there all weekend.  Lots of courting with this pair so maybe they'll nest there.

There were also many pine warblers up high in the trees.  Could be as many as 20 there on Sunday.  Also saw a yellow rumped warbler.

Wow

20 Pine Warblers is a very large number for Thickson's Woods. Did you see the warblers on hear them?

You could both see and hear them.
