Did some early morning birding at my favourite local park yesterday and counted 42 species including the following:
Common Loon (3 flyovers)
Red-necked Grebe (100+ a fair distance out on the lake)
Merlin (in a dive, don't know if it caught anything)
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (4)
Winter Wren (2)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (10+)
Hermit Thrush (6)
Pine Warbler (1)
Field Sparrow (1)
Fox Sparrow (1)
White-throated Sparrow (3)
