This sharpie struck a mourning dove at ca. 7:15 a.m. next to our nyjer feeder, in the Broadview-Danforth area in Toronto. It took him until ca. 8:30 to finish.

Hope this works.  Used a Canon A630 point and shoot.

The forum requires "bulletin board" style coding and not html.  What you need to have written is

Code: [Select]

Only without the "code" part.  That would have put the picture into your post.  If you wanted to create a link with the name "My picture" you would need to have written (again, without the "code"... I need to use code so that what I write shows up rather than linking) is

Code: [Select]
My picture

Great find - although I dare say that you photographed a Coopers!  Good job!

Thanks Attila  for the clarification and GSStuart for the code.
I'll try again.

As for identification of the bird, Coopers vs. Sharp-shinned, my wife and I
agreed that the tail was squared with no band at the bottom and there were
rounded white feathers on the back, which, according to Sibley's seem to be connected
only with Sharpies.

All the best,
Martin
