Hi everyone.  My mom was visiting this afternoon so we went for a walk at Lake Wabukayne from 1-3pm.  Sighted the following:

Blue Jays x 2
Canada Goose x 1
Cardinals - lots of males
Chickadees x 2
Grackles - lots

Great Blue Heron x 1 - at West end of lake, perched on pile of branches above water.  He/she then flew about 20 feet away and the Canada Goose (listed above) went completely psychotic!  "Ran" across the water from the dock to the other side and went after the GBH very angrily.  GBH then took off and flew to East end of lake.

House Sparrows - lots
Mallards - lots
Mockingbird x 1
Red-winged Blackbirds - lots of males
Robins - lots
Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers x 2 (females)

Lots of butterflies - Cabbage White, Eastern Comma and Red Admiral.  One of the Red Admiral landed on my mom's jacket.  :D  Also sighted a Red Squirrel - very cute critter!

Lake Wabukayne:  NE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Windwood Dr., behind condo and school.
