Site problems

I have noticed a few problems with the site recently (Napper mentioned problems 1 and 2 in a different section):

1. Buttons not visible (e.g., "Post new topic", "Edit"). Haven't noticed this until today.

2. Yesterday I got a warning that the site contained malware.

3. Problem loading pages. Sometimes the page doesn't load, but it usually works again when reloading the page. This has been going on for several weeks now.

I am having the same problem.  I also can't see any photos.  I've tried both Firefox and Chrome.  Strangely though, it works fine with Tapatalk.

I messaged Andy about the first 2 problems.
2 has now been solved, he is still working on 1 (no images are showing up for me, including avatars, smilies and any embedded images as well as the new post buttons).

I haven't experienced 3, perhaps a problem in your browser or with your connection?

I've only had the problem on this site, so it seems unlikely it's the Internet connection. I'm using Google Chrome as my browser.

It looks like something changed when the site came back on line.  The pages don't load fully in Firefox or Chrome, but they work with Internet Explorer.  It also works in Firefox with IE Tab.

I haven't been able to see photos on any of the forums for the last few days. The "Reply" and "Post New Message" buttons are also missing. I've tried both Firefox and Safari.

Nothing new to add here, but I am also seeing the missing image issue. It's a bit odd since it occurs for images not even hosted here, but linked from other sites.

It seems to be a problem with images in Firefox and Chrome.  I noticed in Firefox that although the reply button is missing, if you put your mouse where the button should be, the link is still there.

I had to revert to the original skin for the board. I can not find where the problem is. Although the host says the malware was found outside the birding area, many files have been re-written. Checking them didn't help; they appear to be the same as the originals. I think everything is working now. Please let me know if you find anything amiss.

Sorry for taking so long with this. I spent the day in ER yesterday passing a kidney stone.

Glad you like the look, Bob. I'm getting used to it as well. It has a few more features than the previous skin. In particular, I like the option to change font size. Anyway,  probably best to leave it as is other than adding a few things when I get a chance.

BTW, I am fine now. Pain was brutal until they gave me the morphine. After that, it was just a long, boring wait...
