Hi, I have a couple of shots and would appreciate an ID confirmation. I am unsure of what the black bird is. I have named it a virginia rail juvenile. I would appreciate some input on these, they are long shots and heavily cropped.

The juvie rails pretty well all look the same. My Sibley's shows the same illustration for all the juvie rails.

Given that it's with a Virginia, that's a pretty good guess.

There is a photo of a Tree Swallow. I think it may be a Barn Swallow; forked tail and in the photo what looks like a red (rust) neck. Tree would be white underneath and straight tail. Excellent pictures. Thanks for posting.
