Had a very nice couple of hours in Carden. The Loggerhead Shrikes are still around, I saw at least three of them, a lifer for me. Other goodies were 1 Upland Sandpiper, 2 E. Bluebirds, 10 E. Meadowlarks, 10 Brown Thrashers, 1 Osprey, 1 N. Harrier, 2 A. Kestrels. On the way there a Green Heron flew over Hwy 48 near Mt Albert and a fox by Hwy 48 near Bolsover.
