Just got back from a vacation in Disney world. Stayed at Coronado springs and was thrilled when I spotted a barred owl perched on one of the walkway light posts about 11 feet off the ground at the resort. We were lucky enough to watch him fly down and catch a green anole lizard and then fly back in the nearest tree. My favorite moment bird watching by far. It was an extremely close and intimate sighting. The eye contact was almost intimidating and thrilling at the same time. Great experience.
