Long Eared owl in a really good roost. Earned my pic today trying to find one. Took 3 images total today and this is the result. Tough getting a snap, had to back way up which is better for the owl anyway. It was still in the same roost when i left, making no noise and not staying too long is the trick.

Nice shot Paul.........dispite the leave clutter in the front you were able to get him in focus very well, I usually have the other problem...leaves are super clear but owl fuzzy

Haven't seen one of these this year.....last year I had two colonies in my area but they have not showed up yet this year.......hopefully will return in Nov
