Wonderful afternoon at Humber Bay East. Hooded mergansers very close, many red-breasted mergansers and long-tailed ducks, two ruddy ducks, one loon, two scaup, one blue-winged teal, shovelers, mallards, black ducks, goldeneyes, buffleheads, a mockingbird, some boring stuff, and a flock of tinkly-sounding small perching birds near the easternmost point (snow buntings?). Almost everything is in the ponds and bays between the eastern spit and the main shore; no scope needed.
