I received a very nice Christmas gift from cooperative birds yesterday. The Western Tanager in Durham Court Park in Oshawa was actually the first bird I saw there and I also got a better look later, there were also Chickadees, Cardinals, Juncos, a White-breasted Nuthatch and a Brown Creeper in the area.

At Thickson's Point in Whitby the Eurasian Wigeon was still around in company with lots of Gadwalls and some American Wigeons. Other birds of interest there: Greater Scaup, Am. Black Duck, Common Goldeneye, Red-breasted Merganser, Northern Shrike, Northern Mockingbird, Common Redpoll, Am. Goldfinch and Red-tailed Hawk.

I also passed by Reesor Rd pond in Markham, but couldn't find anything mixed in among the thousands of Canada Geese.
