Out counting the Trumpeter Swans 15 all out on the lake, 4 Mute Swans in the protected bay and 1 out with the Trumpeters. The ususal number of Mallards and Canada Geese in the protected bay. However on the walk back to the cars I noted some activity by a tree and noted a small flock (22) Cedar Waxwings feeding and stripping a bush it of its fruit.

Beautiful shots. Males and females are identical. I think you may have mostly first-year birds with one adult.

Thank-you, was out with another birder and he said the one with the red wing tips was a male which I guess it could be but the others being first year birds just have not developed yet
