Out walking the park and hilly areas, spotted a number of healthy Red-tailed Hawks hunting and can see why while walking noted 3 voles running to get out of the way so lots of food available plus lots of rabbit tracks. In the Sumachs spotted A Northern Mockingbird and an Americal Kestral sitting in the trees. A pair of Morning Doves.

Red Tailed shot through the windshield so not crisp.

Great shots cosmo!  We were down there today also and you were smart to stay in your car.  Man was it cold.

Went there today albeit a bit late and only saw a couple of hawks and some sparrows of some kind.  I guess it was too late already.  Still fun...just being outdoors getting fresh air.

only in the car while driving from location to location and this hawk was within the landing strip area of the airport but otherwise out walking which is almost the only way your going to see anything. I love winter dress for the temperatures and  you should be ok. Thanks for the compliments

I was just teasing cosmo... I'm jealous of your hawk shots. ;)

I was dressed well for the weather but I can never find a pair of gloves warm enough and still be able to work the camera properly.

Invest in a box of hand warmers from Costo $14  and they last 8hrs put them in your pockets and ditch the gloves
