Sulphur-crested Cockatoo
These guys were the most common parrot I saw on my trip. I felt like I was in a Telus commercial.

Eastern Rosella

Blue-cheeked Rosella

Unknown parrot. I think it is a juvi Blue-cheeked but I am not too sure.

Gang-gang Cockatoo
Not sure where the name came from but it is typical Aussie verbage.

Galah
Also a common parrot but like all birds won't let you get close enough to take a nice picture with a 300mm.

Rainbow Lorikeet
I still find it hard to believe these colours are on a real bird.

Great pictures.

The sulphur crested cockatoos were incredibly tame in Sydney when we went. They would land right on you looking for a handout (some on my head and backpack).

Such beautiful creatures!  Thanks for sharing.

The 3 photos marked Blue-cheeked Rosella (subspecies of Pale-headed) are actually Crimson Rosella.  The reason why I know this is that my tea cup (a gift from Australia) has a pair of Crimsons on it and I just think they're absolutely gorgeous looking birds.

Walter :)
