This is an extremely long shot but on behalf of friends I'd like to post anyway.
A blue budgie escaped yesterday in Mississauga on Oscar Peterson Blvd (north of Eglinton, west of Winston Churchill.)
If anyone sees a blue budgie at their feeder in west Mississauga or East Oakville, could they please post here?
Thank you.

Best of luck to your friends and the Budgie.

If it was lost in the Toronto/Etobicoke border; I'd bet on it showing up at my feeders.  Currently have 2 backyard rescues both being Budgies.  Missed catching a third and some kinda Lovebird.  Nieghbour caught a Cockatiel a few years ago.

We've learned how tough these birds actually are.  I knew of a few people who had Budgies at their feeders last winter and were around for weeks.

The first one we caught lived out back from May to September.  She was constantly chased by the Jays, dodged a few Hawks and kicked the crap out of House Sparrows.  We left a cage out back which she started using to feed in when the bigger birds were around.  It was funny when Chickadees and Red-wings started using it as well.  Then come mid-September I snuck out there and shut the door on her.  It took months to calm her down but 6+ years later we have one very wise, sweet Budgie that we have an understanding with.  While we cannot handle her, she shows us love in other ways.  We are a flock.

She escaped on us around her one year anniversary but a lot of trying and even more luck we had her back in her cage, and home two very long hours later.

I know I've told her story a few times on here.  Sorry for the repeat tale.  The other one is just as special but his story isn't as grand. Saw him out back and within 10 mins, he's in my shirt and in the house.  I could easily tell he was very young, and clueless.  So his attitude was rather "go with the flow".

Just gotta have hope for the bird.  You never know.
