Now most of the snow is out of the woods I decided to go for a walk through Second Marsh looking for woodpeckers.
Not much luck finding any woodpeckers, but my wife managed to convince a white breasted nuthatch to take some birdseed from her hand.
Of course I was way too close with a 150mm lens to get a good picture.
I did however find a group of Cedar Waxwings that I managed to get a few good shots of.

Sometimes you need a little help to get the best shot.

Very nice Andy.  I have never been to the second marsh.  Would you mind mentioning if you enter off the 1st entrance on Colonel Sam or do you go to the main parking lot at the end of the street.

I usually go in just after the bridge, or at the end of the trees there is a path leading into the woods.  If you drive to the very end of the road down toward Darlington park there is a trail that leads all the way back along the marsh.  The Cedar Waxwings were right by the road very close to the creek.

I think that is the first sunny day I have had off work all year and today I get another one.  I'm at a bit of a crossroads trying to decide if I should get my motorcycle or my camera out today.
