The local Northern Mockingbird started singing very early this morning. It's alternating between a very passable Northern Cardinal and a car alarm that has the neighbours running to their windows.
The Mockers have been breeding and overwintering here for at least six or seven years. Closest big intersection is Dupont and Symington.
