Since your Vireo was also posted by Paul Reeves on the Ontbirds twitter feed, there were at least a dozen birders in the Wet Woods yesterday trying to relocate it. As of 2:30 when I left, it still had not been found. If you haven't seen Paul's photos, here's a link:  http://www.paulreeves.ca/html/nature/birds/unknown.html

Congratulations on finding such a great bird!

Thank you. It was a life bird for me and very exciting. I did view Paul's photos the next day, and they confirmed what I had seen.
I hope a few others got to see it as well.

Enjoyed some great views of this continuing bird today.  It seems to be moving around a lot more now. Seen earlier in the morning on the south/west side of the wood by others, then relocated on the south/east side around 11:30 - THANK YOU GABRIEL!   And thanks also to Paul Reeve who does such a great job of tracking its movement as it flits through the thick dogwood.

The Blue Grosbeak was apparently seen early in the morning in the North field but I had no luck.  In general the woods were a little quieter today. I did however enjoy my first Chimney Swifts!

Did some morning birding. If you live in the GTA and haven't seen the white-eyed vireo yet...please do yourself a favour and go see it!

I found it today 30 minutes after i entered the park. heard a weird R2D2 noise from the thicket. walked to the area and POOF! it jumped out, i snapped 2 crazy photos and it went back in, singing away and eating. i watched it for 30 minutes and it put on a great show. it came out and was incredibly visible. doesn't care if people are there.

a winter wren was either looking for sexytimes or wasn't happy that it had an intruder. they were side by side for a bit.

today, it was on the east side of the central wooded area. it was moving south to north then back south again.
