After a morning in the Wet Woods where warblers seemed in scarce supply (at least for me), I popped into Ashbridges Bay for a quick check along the marina shoreline. I found 2 Pine Warblers and one lovely Black-throated Blue Warbler in one of the large willow trees at the south/east corner of the marina (beside the little beach). A few other notables were 2 Kingfishers chasing each other, a Northern Rough-winged Swallow and 2 Hermit Thrush.

Any Chimney Swifts? They're just starting to arrive and there were lots at Ashbridges Bay last summer. Can't wait to see them again!

Have you seen a roost? Please email me at rebecca.torontoswifts@gmail.com but don\'t post the location! This species is threatened and relies on urban habitat.

Not at Ashbridges, but I did see 6 Chimney Swifts about 2 hours earlier while I was in the wet woods at the Leslie Spit - very close by! I reported them on ebird.

I saw that but didn't realise it was you - thanks! It was really helpful (and exciting!)
