Of the 39 species I observed this morning, highlights included first of the year sightings of House Wren, Yellow Warbler and Palm Warbler.  While looking at a pair of Carolina Wrens that were sitting on a neighbouring fence, a local Cooper's Hawk soared over the same yard and in to the park only 5 feet above me.  I think it was trying for a little Red Squirrel.

Pretty darn quiet again this morning at the park.  Of the 37 species counted, the highlight was 3 bunny rabbits (Eastern Cottontails)!!!  Actually a female Baltimore Oriole and a male Brown Thrasher were nice to see.

A quick walk around the park this morning brought 'first of the year' Gray Catbird and Lincoln's Sparrow.  Other than that it was fairly quiet once again.
