High Park fallout Oct. 9th

Hundreds of yellow-rumps made it difficult to pick out other warbler species but they were there.  These included >8 Nashville, a surprising (for me at least) 6 Orange-crowned, 1 Northern Parula, several Black-throated Green, 1 Palm.  Other species seen were 1 Blue-headed Vireo, 1 Purple Finch, Field, White-crowned and White-throated Sparrows and both Kinglets.  

All birds were seen just north of Colborne lodge on both sides of Colborne Lodge Dr.

Orange-crowned Warbler

Yellow breast, grey head, white eye-ring... I would have called that a Nashville warbler.

Note the broken eye-ring, dark line between eye and bill and faint olive streaking on breast.  These are all good indicators of Orange-crowned warbler.  The first thing that strikes me when I see a Nashville (especially in the fall) is the noticeable complete eye-ring which sharply contrasts the grey head.
