I got a lifer today, a Clay-colored Sparrow. I heard the buzzing sound and was able to track it down and get a look at it too. It was near the east entrance (off Hwy 50). Walk to the school, on the other side of the road there is a washroom, it was in the grassy, bushy area near there. Listen for the insect-like buzzing sound. In this area I also saw Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Scarlet Tanager. All this was on my back to the car around 9 am. I didn't see or hear any of these birds early in the morning when I started my walk, so it was a terrific end!
