We were completely surprised to find a saw-whet owl perched on a stake in our front yard around 7:30 this morning.  It remained in the same spot all day and eventually flew away about 6 this evening.  We are in the newly urbanized area around Highway 7 and Chinguacousy Road in Brampton.

I wasn't sure if posting the images directly would work so if it doesn't, I have included the link below.

If neither works, maybe someone can provide some instructions?

The image tag should work, but you posted the page (which requires a "url" tag) and not the path to the picture.  This is an "img" tag or your jpg.
Nice shot, by the way.

I thought I was relatively computer savvy, but I'm still confused how to post the image directly.  What do you mean that I posted the page and not the path to the picture?

Jon,

In your first post, you chose the URL of the flickr page on which the image can be seen, not of the image itself, which is why the [img] tag didn't work.

The link (or URL) to the image itself will end in ".jpg" (on flickr anyway). Select the "All sizes" link on the flickr page, and copy the image URL from "Option 2" to enclose in the [img] tags.

beautiful shot, BTW.
