I briefly had 2 views at a female Red-Bellied Woodpecker in my river yard on Sunday, around noon.  I had one at a feeder about 2-3 years ago.  It was too quick for my husband to get any pictures.  She was down near the river, taking sunflower seeds off a log where I had put some.  There was also chickadees, blue jays, both nuthatches and juncos coming.  Will keep an eye out and hopefully she returns.

The female was again at my feeders, both suet and peanut this afternoon.  I have seen this bird over the last 2 weeks about 4 times, so maybe will hang around for the winter.

We also had a female red-bellied at our suet feeder on Sunday 6 January. We think we also caught a brief glimpse in mid-December but not long enough to satisfy ourselves of what we had. We've seen them frequently in Florida but never this far north!

I have seen this bird (assuming it's the same one) about 3 times over the last week.  Coming for peanuts and sunflowers.  I also saw a flock of about 11 turkeys walking the other side of the river, with about 3 walking up the river.  Maybe the Cheltenham turkeys will return!!!!!!!!!!
