A flock of 12-15 Common Redpolls came swooping in on the local Northern Mockingbird while it was imitating a goldfinch call near the easternmost footbridge. They fed for a few minutes and took off to the west.

Common Loon
Long-tailed Duck
White-winged Scoter
Common Goldeneye
Bufflehead
American Wigeon
Gadwall
American Tree Sparrow
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
21 Kildeer on the mudflats
Great Black-backed Gull
Common Redpoll Female

Redpolls at Humber Bay East

Thanks for the post and the photos. I saw a pair of Common Redpolls along the path between Palace Pier and the Butterfly Habitat at 2pm today. Not shy and feeding actively with the female acting as sentry mostly while the male foraged.
