Lots of bluejays

Is everyone else seeing lots of bluejays? It's a constant stream, mostly heading west or southwest, much more than I'm used to seeing this far north of the lake, even at this time of year!

Must just be a good day for migration - I missed the Jays but had 42 Turkey Vultures flying over my neighborhood in Riverdale this afternoon. Some were flying in a straight line, some were kettling in small groups. They then formed a larger kettle over the Don Valley and turned south towards the lake. Very cool. Maybe with only a mild North wind (and no west wind) there was nothing forcing the birds down to the shoreline today. I did notice lots of Jays migrating through yesterday at the Rosetta Raptor Watch.

I am at the McLaughlin Bay/Second Marsh daily and have been waiting for the migration to begin. They come over that area, sometimes in the hundreds. Saw a small flock today so it shouldn't be long before they show in bigger numbers.
