Hey all I haven't had a chance to post on here for awhile, but I had to share with you the trip we took last night to the Prince Edward point Bird Observatory. If you haven't been they are banding until October 31st and it is worth the drive. They open the nets at 8pm as long as its not raining or too windy. Last night they had around 16 nswo and their first eastern screech owl in about 3 years. That puts them roughly around 150 banded birds this year. One NSWO actually flew into the net about a foot from us while we were waiting for the banders to come back from the nets in the back. Wear warm clothes and bring a flash light you will need it. Also there isn't alot of light since they are on solar power and they ask that you do not use a flash.
Cheers
