Various types of butterflies we have sighted

From Giant Swallowtails, to Canadian Tiger Swallowtail, Black Swallowtails, Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, Red Admirals, Painted Ladies, Cabbage Whites, American Lady, Clouded Sulphurs, Eastern Commas, Owl Butterflies in the Amazon,  Blue Morpho Butterflies in the Amazon, others in the Amazon that know one as yet named, to Great Spangled Fritillary in Ontario, Mourning Cloak Butterflies, and Silvery Blue Butterflies at Forks of the Credit, our list is long, and our luck as been good with our camera, and yes we even managed to see and photography a few Monarch Butterflies this year.

Seems like you had a great butterfly year. Good for you 'cause, this year was pretty below average for me. Only one new species, a Striped Hairstreak and, no decent shots worth posting of butterflies. I just didn't see a lot of butterflies this year. Maybe it has to do with the banner year we had last spring (2012). Oh well, maybe next year will be better. I have to get out to some tropical place! Great pics BTW.

Lets hope for a much better year for all types of butterflies including Monarchs here in Ontario next year.  I just looked at a couple of pictures on Google of a Striped Hairstreak, great looking butterfly.  I now understand why its called a Striped Hairstreak.  Did you sight this butterfly somewhere in Ontario?
