I have a view of a dead tree from my backyard (Lithuania ravine, 2nd block north of High Park, west of Keele). The occasional olive-sided flycatcher seems to use this tree in migration.  This fall when I was of course on my own I saw one there in August (August 9) and again in September (Sept 11).  Each one stuck around for the evening so I was able to get a picture both days.  I'd post them here except after 2 full days of frustration I failed at Flickr.
Is it worth reporting these sightings, and if so, how?  My skills extend to emailing jpegs.
Thanks,
Leslie

eBird is a good place to report all your sightings. I'm sure there is someone here using Flickr that can help you with that, so you can post your pictures for ID confirmation.
Aug 9 is the time when Olive-sided Flycatchers start to show up in the Toronto area, Sep 11 is kind of late for them, but still possible.

Thanks, I did report the Sept 11 sighting to eBird & I don't think it's there (just tried to verify but site is down at the moment) but--unverified sighting late in the season from an inexperienced birder?  Caution is justified!

Early September isn't that late for an Olive-sided Flycatcher in the region.    See eBird.
