Records: This is the 3rd record for the province since 1953.
Previous records:
1995: 5-6 December, Deschenes Rapids, Ottawa River, Ottawa.
1998: 29 November, Burlington Ship Canal, Hamilton.
Location: Kingston, Ontario 4 Dec 2013
Normal Range: Arctic and near Arctic waters.

Great shot there, you can see the water droplets on its body clearly and a good look at the eye. Hoping for some better light tomorrow (Friday).

Apparently it didn't have a bad leg, my guess on this was incorrect. Other experts indicated he legs were hanging naturally for this species. The bird appears to have moved on.
