Good condition, white covers have yellowed and stained.These books are still a great resource, especially for younger naturalists. A great deal of information about the ecology, flora and fauna is contained within more than 1,000 accounts, together with numerous photos, drawings and diagrams. The accounts were authored by leading experts in their respective fields. I received them montly by mail order as a child and couldn't wait for the next volume to arrive. - $25.00

Tropical Wild Life In British Guiana, W. Beebe, G. Hartley and P. Howes, New York Zoological Society, 1917.Good condition, two loose pages. Description (from another website): Only one volume of this work was ever completed. The author, William Beebe (1877-1962), was a naturalist, oceanographer, ornithologist, and an executive of the New York Zoological Society. Beebe traveled to Trinidad, Venezuela, Brazil and British Guiana. In 1916, he established the New York Zoological Society's Department of Tropical Research in Bartica, British Guiana. pp.xx, 499; 143 photo-illustrations and coloured plates. The covers and spine feature bright gilt titles and a gilt depiction of a Hoatzin fledgling. - $30.00
