I participated in the Peel-Halton CBC today. I covered Riverwood and Erindale Parks until mid-afternoon, but stopped then as the roads were too snowy to drive anywhere new.

Highlights included a beaver, 1 Swamp Sparrow, 3 Song Sparrow and 2 Pileated Woodpecker. Overall quite quiet though.

Total 30 species and 391 individuals.

Hi Reuven.  I counted at Maplewood Park from 10:45am - 12:15 and sighted the following:

5 Mourning Dove
2 Blue Jay
3 American Crow
1 Black-capped Chickadee
1 European Starling
4 Northern Cardinal (2m, 2f)
138 House Sparrow

Total # of Species: 7
Total # of Birds: 154

No hawks, owls or Woodpeckers.  Bummer!  I usually sight a Pileated Woodpecker here on count day.
