Red Squirrel decline?

I live in an area that is largely populated with red squirrels although chipmunks thrive here along with the odd black phased eastern grey squirrel. Over the past summer, I noticed that I hadn't seen a red squirrel but I figured without the feeders around they must be foraging elsewhere (I noticed more chipmunks and figure they must be excluding the reds). Well I've had my feeders on the go now for 2 months and not a single red. We have a lone EGS visiting but no reds.

Late last winter / early spring, I saw a fisher on our property and we have 3 feral cats in the area....would that be enough to wipe out a once very healthy population of reds?

Last year and the year before they seemed to have disappeared but there's lots this year. There are nesting broad wing hawks and foxes , minks , dogs and cats that other cottagers bring along . They have to be careful to survive up there .
