I was in Sam Smith park today and noticed a bird that clearly fits the description of a female american kestrel. I don't know what else it could have been. I am not 100% sure, so I was wondering if anyone else managed to spot her. I always saw the bird sitting on the top of a tree on the north or east side of the harbour, solitary, going from tree to tree when disturbed. It distinctly had a barred back and small, hooked beak with distinct markings on the face.
I would be appreciative of any comments.
