These images lack the wild feel of a natural setting, but I'm not complaining when I didn't have to drive anywhere to get them.

in the past 3 years, i've sporadically gone to SS to look for a) the snowy b) the shrikes.

i've seen the shrike (really well) just once. never have i found the snowy.

glad to hear someone else is having luck!

It's been a pretty reliable bird for the past week, but that could change any day (it is March 8th).  Both of the past two times I've seen it (late afternoon) it has initially been far off and later flown to a more accessible perch. There were people skating by the docks today, but I don't know how much longer that will be safe.
