Today my wife spotted 3 Great Blue Herons flying North

I spotted one :( .  Since last Wednesday there has bean a large amount of movement in our area (Milton)

Yesterday, by accident I  scared off a Cooopers sitting in the tree next door, Wiley thing had snuck up and landed in a  tree overlooking our yard  where a group of doves were sunning themselves. They of course all scattered.

Much more like spring Robins lookin for worms etc. Grackles, RWBB's  Am Goldfinches starting to turn a little different colour.

Up north not so much, Tooo much snow and ice.

I finally spotted a Killdeer at Downsview today.

Napper, bout time

We had a lot more activity too up north...couple of sparrows....robins emerged from cedars....tvs are def back...

Today of course, it's snowing and stormy....and I try to think happy thoughts....somewhere there are tulips and daffodils growing...I hope it snows there too.

Yesterday I saw my first groundhog....standing surveying the snowscape atop 60cm of snow....I shook my fist and yelled some expletives at him....on my way home I drove past my first dead groundhog...middle of the road....same spot...and I felt guilty.
