Butterfly/moth I.D.'s please

This was taken near Huntsville last summer. Anyone know what it is?
This one on the wall of a No Frills in Willowdale last summer

I believe the first one is a "Pistachio Emerald" moth. The 2nd looks like a "Maple Spanworm" couldn't quite see the head in the image.

thanks! glad they're native species lol, Get annoyed when I find a beautiful moth and find out its invasive

Hi fontaija and Paul,
I believe the first photo is more likely a "Pale Beauty" moth.

I think you may be right on that, moths are much harder for me to ID than butterflies. Thanks for the post, nice looking image.
