Canon Canada and the Henry's School of Imaging are running a number of special photo events at Point Pelee between May 8-11.
Canon is bringing Chris Dodds, one of their Northern Explorers of Lights, to the park. He is a full-time freelance nature and wildlife photographer, nature photography workshop & safari leader/instructor, photography educator, blogger, and lecturer. Chris travels to some of the best locations in the world photographing, teaching and leading nature photography safaris. His images are collected and published regularly in world-class publications. He's going to be leading three half-day and two full-day photo tours, as well as a one hour "tips & tricks" session and a number of exclusive portfolio review sessions.
As you know, there are no guarantees when photographing migrants at a place like Pelee, but there is a good chance of getting photos of numerous warbler species (i.e. Magnolia, Blackburnian, Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Black-and-White), vireos, scarlet tanager, and more.
