Pretty quiet in the park this evening, the one flash of excitement provided by an Olive-sided Flycatcher sitting at the very top of a dead, white tree. This was just across the main path from the sturdy new bridge they've erected about 200 meters west of the parking lot at Dawes Rd. I first saw the bird from the rear and thought it might be a Great Crested, but when I came around the other side the long vest stood out quite clearly. The bird held in place for a couple of minutes then dove and didn't appear again. A small flock of Chimney Swifts was feeding above the parking lot.
