Great colours and detail!  But yeah they are hard to get close to.  One time I got really close to one but I didn't even notice it until I was almost on top of it.  He must not have noticed me either otherwise I would never have gotten any pics of him.   :lol:

Excellent shots. I don't see what your complaint is.

You did'nt try the dives or fishing considering how close you were?

Excellent shots, but I know how you feel.  I have been trying to get a great Kingfisher shot for years.  I have lots of good ones, but I still don't have the one I want.  The best luck I have had was sitting in my friends boat and drifting towards the shore, they seam to let you get closer when you aren't approaching from the land.
