Early this morning, a very kind Birder (I believe his name may have been Ky or Kai?) pointed out a Sora at Colonel Sam Smith Park in Etobicoke to myself and some other birders. We all greatly enjoyed watching this small bird hunting. As he said, it did require patience as it would often disappear for 5-10 minutes and just when you thought it was gone for ever it would pop out for a minute or two. (The location was in the very furthest out stretch of the narrow inlet that runs along the shore opposite the boats in the Marina. The Least Bittern used to be in that general area too.)

Anyway one of the other Birders only had a phone camera with her and inquired about photos. I warned her that I am not a photographer just a naturalist who takes pictures and that most of what I was getting was horribly out of focus. Anyway, that said, I will post the best I got, in case she reads this and would like them for the memory value.

And thanks again to the Kind Birder for showing us this lovely diminutive bird!
