I have trouble with shorebirds as well.....most Pectorals I have seen up at Presquille are more brownish on body, maybe the amount of light in shots is hiding colouring, the size and body type look good for Pectoral

Thanks. I did a bit more on-line searching and found this excellent article:

According to this article, Pectorals have blackish primary tail tips with faint edges whereas Least don't. I am not an expert, however, the differences in this article made sense. So I looked at two Least photos that I took recently, first one in PEI and the second one in Downsview Park. Voila - the difference between the two make sense now The photo in 2 above clearly agrees with what the article says about Pectoral. So it is very likely a Pectoral.

Yes, Pectoral, it is much larger than the Least, has a more upright posture with longer neck and legs and a sharp line with a central tip between dark breast and white belly.
