I got a stand and  bought a bunch of bird food like  peanuts, necter, and suit,

I have a big dog who hates squirrels she keeps them gone so i thought maybe the birds would love having all this food it is up high out of my dog reach who ignores birds. BUt no birds have touched it? I dont get it? I wanted blue jays, even starlings, doves etc.. any of the winter birds

any ideas? really wanted to see blue jays or magpies

It may take a few days for it to be found.  It also depends on your location and how many birds are nearby.  I don't think there is anything at this time of year that will take nectar - and won't it freeze and destroy the container?
Do you have many trees nearby, do you see birds around?  Certainly blue jays love peanuts, and chickadees and woodpeckers love suet.  You might also want a tube feeder for sunflower seeds, this appeals to chickadees, nuthatches, juncos and woodpeckers.  Also a niger/thistle seed tube feeder will attract goldfinches.
Mockingbirds are still here (they are here all year) but they are not terribly common in this area and only found in certain types of places.  Brown thrashers, grackles, red-winged blackbirds are all gone for the winter.  None of these are really feeder birds, anyways.

I agree that you have to be patient.  I have 3 feeders up right now (shelled peanut, nyager seed and mixed see) and they are all hanging from the branches of coniferous trees so they are quite hidden.  Hours go by and I don't see any birds but then a number of species will come by all at once for 15 minutes or so.  Then it is quiet again.  I have had feeders up for about 8 years.  Hopefully, the birds will find your food!

A heated bird bath would help alot. The cost of the actual heating tube is not much when you consider the cost of your seed for the winter, and its a one time purchase.

some are DEF chickadees they always around though they will hang out on the grass even when my dog is out there

they are so small my dog considers them insects and does not notice them

penauuts and suite i put out are all vanished? they were on a metal stand that is just over a meter high away from a tree?  probably a crow took them?i am curious now would love to watch.
