I find that strange that they would not normally winter in Ontario when High Park has had them all winter long for many winters.

When I submitted the sighting to eBird canada it came with this info and listed it as a rare sighting. Could be for our region maybe?

Some species migrate and some don't, it seems that the Wood Duck fits somewhere in between.

Could be Paul, like some robins some stay some don't and it could be region based as well, thanks for the input, Rotarran
