Normal Range: Breeds from British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and northern Minnesota, south to California, northern Mexico, Louisiana, and Alabama. Spends winters from southern California to Florida and southward.

Nikon D50 w/80-400VR
Handheld, with late evening natural light.
Bird spent most of the time feeding on the ground and didn't like other sparrow species around its area.

Check eBird for dates and locations.
eg. Kingston Field Naturalists reported it at the same location  Apr 13 2015

There's a bit of info about past sightings on Mike Burrell's blog at http://mikeburrell.blogspot.ca/2015/04/ ... arrow.html. He says 5 records a year in southern Ontario is not unusual.

Your photos show it's sure worth paying attention to every sparrow. No telling what you may find!
