35mm slides to scan

I have a few trays containing slides that were shot in the high arctic during '62 and '63. They still appear to be in pretty good shape and I would like to scan some of them to digital but I don't want to buy a scanner that I won't use again. Has anyone done this using an outside service, lab, etc. If I can't find anything else I'll have it done at Costco. Thanks in advance for any help!

depends what you want to do with the final, only thing is just make sure they scan a high resolution digital file so the file is large enough for printing if that is what you intend.

I have used http://scancanada.ca/ in the past and have been very happy with the results.  They will also provide free scans of 30 slides to try out their service.

It was 3 years ago that I last used them.  It is a one person company but hopefully he does respond soon.
