I have a few trays containing slides that were shot in the high arctic during '62 and '63. They still appear to be in pretty good shape and I would like to scan some of them to digital but I don't want to buy a scanner that I won't use again. Has anyone done this using an outside service, lab, etc. If I can't find anything else I'll have it done at Costco. Thanks in advance for any help! :)

i have my film scanned and processed at Toronto Image Works: http://www.torontoimageworks.com

depends what you want to do with the final, only thing is just make sure they scan a high resolution digital file so the file is large enough for printing if that is what you intend.

I have used http://scancanada.ca/ in the past and have been very happy with the results.  They will also provide free scans of 30 slides to try out their service.

I entered my email on the site a few days ago but so far no response. When was the last time you used them?

It was 3 years ago that I last used them.  It is a one person company but hopefully he does respond soon.
