The female King Eider reported in other forums at Bluffer's Park was present again today. Today she was in the bay just to the west of the southwest point of the park but she is often found around either side of the most extreme southwestern point. She is quite nondescript and could be confused at first glance with a female mallard but she seems to have taken up residence this week. Bluffer's is at the very south end of Brimley Road in Scarborough. Park in the most westerly lot and then head straight to the lake and the SW point. Also present American Tree Sparrows and one Song Sparrow but there was no sign of the Red-throated Loon Kris had on Friday. In fact a dearth of waterfowl all across the lake from Bluffer's to the Unwin bridge. Weather too nice I guess.
