Eagle?

I was taking some photos of an immature red tailed hawk while two mature ones, probably its parents, were wheeling in fairly tight circles overhead but behind branches. When I noticed one overhead bird come into the clear, I tried to catch a quick shot of it, although I was not at any of the right settings and was slow to get any kind of focus.

As soon as I saw it through the lens, though, I saw it wasn't a typical red tailed at all. In fact, it looked like a bald eagle. This bird wasn't circling, either, it was moving quickly due west and was rapidly way out of sight and didn't return while I was there.

Is this a bald eagle? If so, is it nearly mature?
All opinions welcome!

This was seen flying quickly directly west over Joshua Creek in Oakville, near the corner of Duncan Rd and Constance. There have been several eagle sightings in Oakville/Burlington. I extremely highly doubt that it had any intention of stopping in the Joshua Creek area: it was on the move.
