Hi everyone. On Monday, Feb. 15th from 10:45am-12:15pm, Day 4 of GBBC. This was the mildest of the 4 days at -13c windchill with light snow.
Maplewood Park - East side of Glen Erin Dr., 1 1/2 blocks North of Aquitaine Ave. Sighted the following:
Rock Pigeons
Mourning Doves
Hairy Woodpeckers (females)
American Crows
Black-capped Chickadees
Red-breasted Nuthatches
White-breasted Nuthatches
American Robins
Dark-eyed Juncos
European Starlings
Northern Cardinals (2 males, 1 female)
House Sparrows - everywhere! 200+
Side note: Sunday, Feb. 14th - Riverwood: Downy, Hairy and Red-bellied Woodpeckers.
