These are few of the shots I took today of the Gyrfalcon, currently showing in Brickyard Line, Warwick, Ontario. After the unsuccessful attempt on March 17, I made the 259 kilometer one way trip again today. When a friend of mine and I arrived there around 3 PM, we saw a few birders and photographers by the roadside with their scopes and cameras pointing towards the bird which was sitting on a tall spruce tree on a private property about 200 meters away from the road. The home owner was very gracious to allow a few die hard fans, present on the roadside, to get in the property for a closer view. And what a view we had! This is a lifer for me. I am glad I made the trip. Ten minutes after we left her on the tree, the bird took off towards north not to be seen again during the remainder of our stay. Hope this magnificent bird shows up again tomorrow for others to see.
